JamieLou Delavan

JamieLou Delavan is the State Minority Health Coordinator at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Public Health, where she serves as cultural liaison and cultural competency guide for public health programs. She has extensive experience developing health programs for high-risk populations with expertise in commercial tobacco control, and breast and cervical cancer. As the public health Tribal liaison JamieLou works closely with Tribes in Idaho. She also serves on the advisory board for LGBT HeathLink, the national network for LGBT health equity.

JamieLou has a passion for projects that foster equity and diversity and has served as board president for Idaho Women’s Network, a social justice organization, as well as on the LGBTQA Community Center board. In 2009 she co-authored a refugee rights and responsibilities program covering American culture, law, education, health care, and social services. More recently, she is involved in social integration and healthcare efforts for Neighbors United Boise, a refugee collaborative. She gives her spare time to fostering cross-cultural dialogue through youth and community development programs.
