Join the AI/AN NPA Caucus

The American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) NPA Caucus is opening its membership for those outside of the RHECs to join. The AI/AN NPA Caucus will work to coordinate and enhance tribal, state and local efforts to address health disparities and the social determinants of health for AI/ANs.

The AI/AN NPA Caucus is seeking committed and dedicated individuals to serve on the caucus. In particular, the caucus seeks energetic and proactive members whose work and expertise fall under specific sectors such as:
  • Tribal governments and organizations (departments representing health, education, economic/community development and environment); 
  • Urban Indian organizations; 
  • Regional and national Native organizations; 
  • Health professions such as community health workers, public health and allied health professionals; 
  • Community-based organizations and nonprofit agencies; and 
  • Educational programs and institutions such as Indian education programs, tribal colleges and universities. 

Time Commitment
Members are expected to actively participate on the caucus and engage on important caucus decisions and activities via conference call and email communications. Monthly conference calls are held on the second Monday of each month for one hour.

  • A (brief) letter of interest identifying your skill sets/areas of expertise and stating your commitment to attending monthly conference calls and participating actively in caucus work. 
Nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis.
